Christmas has come. In a small house four little brothers have wished their parents and one another Merry Christmas. All of them were joyful that Christ was born. However, they were a little bit sad because they had nothing to give each other as a present on such a day. And suddenly they heard somebody knocking at the door of their small house and speaking in a cheerful voice. Then…

You must think that it is a beginning of a Christmas fairy tale? Perhaps, it is so, but this tale is not a fairy one. Events of the tale took place just recently at Christmas in a small village of Verhotursky district – the very one where the presents which you gave for the event “Make Children a Holiday!” were sent.

Christmas is always a joy. Today all the children who live in Verhotursky district know this thanks to your kind-heartedness and mercifulness! More than 500 children from poor and large families living in Kordukovo, Malakhovo, Krasnogorskoe, and other villages received presents for Christmas. For many of them it was a fulfillment of their long-nurtured dreams.

The four brothers (whom we wrote about in the beginning of the tale) live in Deryabino village. Rodion, Edik, Danya, and Kirill are very close to one another, and though the family is poor its members know how to joy in one another. And the recent Christmas holiday was really happy for the whole family! When the boys saw several big boxes full of presents collected for them they became infinitely happy! Their mother said merrily, “Well, open them. They are for you!” It didn’t take much time to persuade the boys. They opened the boxes immediately, started to look at the toys and books, try on the clothes (each of them found something of his size).

There was also much joy in other houses where children got their presents. One of the families received a very big present – a desk! It is an extremely useful thing for four children (two of them already go to school, and the other two are going soon).

That day may be said to be fairy for every family! We believe that the memory about this Christmas and your love will stay in the children’s hearts forever. We are grateful to everybody who has taken part in this event, and we hope that we don’t bid good-bye. Easter is coming! See you at our Easter event “Make Children a Holiday!”
