| New vestments |
Recently the sisters of the sewing workshop finished a complex and very important order. They have made the priestly vestment "Damascus." The vestment is made of golden brocade; its color solution is in the style of Byzantine miniatures: bright vegatative ornament against golden background. On the shoulder piece of the back of the priestly vestment an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is embroidered; there is a prayer under it: "Holy Father Nicholas, pray to God for us!" The sisters-iconographers initially did a sketch for the elaboration of iconographic depiction, and the sisters-embroideresses elaborated the program. The halo on the embroidered icon of the saint is decorated with pearls. The tassels on the vestment are handmade with a glassbead network (the head of every tassel is bead-braided). The buttons are made of malachite.

On the day of commemoration of St. Nicholas the vestment was handed to the Orthodox church of the Italian city of Bari.
