Paskha, the Lord's Paskha! Let us embrace one another and proclaim with gladness: "Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life"! Christ's Resurrection is an event which is particularly important for us and which at the same time has grown so habitual that we cannot even fully realize its significance. "If we were to accept the Lord's Resurrection with all our being, -- says Fr. Avraam, - this would overturn our entire life." But just to understand and feel the greatness of this event to some degree, can be made easier by the talk given by Fr. Avraam in 2003 that we have published. All of the Resurrection episodes are examined consecutively and fully according to the Synopsis of the Gospels: Fr. Avraam meditates on, compares, and refers to the opnions of different interpreters.

In addition, almost all of the events are visibly presented in the book with the help of 25 bright colorful illustrations: the photographs of icons, frescos, and also of the sites from the holy places of Palestine connected with the earthly life of our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope that due to this, a reader will get a living sense of personal presence at the appearances of the Lord to Mary Magdalene at the tomb, to Luke and Cleopas on their way to Emmaus, and to the apostles at the sea of Tiberiad. The new book is of a small format, but is rather thick (64 pages), it is designed for a broad audience of readers.
